The Brother HL 1435 Printer uses Brother HL 1435 Toner and can be hooked up to both personal computers and Mac computers. I was designed as a personal computer using laser technology. It comes with 4MB of memory, which is great but you cannot add on any additional memory if you wanted to. It does print high quality with a resolution of 1200 x 600 dots per inch. The most page sit can print in a minute is 15 and the largest paper it can print on is a letter or legal size.
Besides printing on plain paper the HL1435 can also print on the follow types of media, transparencies, labels, envelopes, card stock, and photo paper. It is possible to use the manual paper fee bypass if you want to print on envelopes or letterhead. The operating on your computer must be Mac OS 8.6 or later or Windows 95 or later. The printer connects to your computer using a USB connection or parallel port connection.
Unfortunately this printer cannot be hooked up to a network and it is only a printer so it does not have any scanning or copying function. Additional items that come with the printer upon purchase include a DR-400 drum unit, quick set up guide, CD-ROM that contains manuals and drivers, and a TN-430 toner cartridge.
It does not come with a connection cable. Parts and services are covered by a one-year warranty as well as an exchange program. If a product is faulty it will certainly break within the first year so this warranty covers that risk.
