For $56, you can purchase Call of Duty Word At War from Amazon. At least in the Windows version, the game however focuses its attention solely on the Pacific Theatre and the Eastern Front of the world war.

The tale unfolds a bit like this. The center of attention is exclusively the preliminary battles of World War II. It is centralized in the Pacific and the eastern parts of Europe. The USSR, the U.S., and the Empire of Japan are among them.

The whole game is narrated from the first person perspective of a Marine Raider and a another Red Army soldier. The plot is strictly historical battles which taken place at Makin Island, Stalingrad, Peleliu, Seelow Heights, Berlin and Okinawa.

Call of Duty, World at War 5 has options for first person narrative as well as a multiplayer mode.

For greater fighting and protection, these modes assists the player unlock additional weapons. The rank and awards of the player is now also increased.

This technique of the game, which is collecting additional weaponry and awards was initially implemented in COD 4.

The Call of Duty: World at War 5 is actually one of the best selling games in the UK since its release in November of 2008. In fact it is second in the best selling rank and has sold more than even one million and forty one thousand copies in the UK itself. I believe it is also in the top 10 best selling video games on Ebay US as well.

World at War 5 was criticized by a few who were unsatisfied with the game going back to the world war theme.

The acute portrayal of the dark and gritty sides of the war was highly praised, however. The technique of jumping from one scenario in the plot to the next and the introduction of the co-operative mode was welcoming. - 18299
