When you are looking to have some inexpensive entertainment, you can download games to your home computer for only a few dollars and you can enjoy them each and every day. Many people become addicted as some of these games are simply fantastic.

There are a ton of games available on the Internet to play, but the most popular ones seem to be the ones where you have to download the game version to your computer. Downloading anything can be a risky adventure and you want to make sure that you check a few things before giving them access to your machine.

While there are plenty of legitimate sites that feature downloadable games, there is also a decent amount of sites that are trying to do nothing more than hack their way into your computer. If you have ever clicked on a link after doing a search and our rerouted to a site that has nothing to do with your games search, you know what I'm talking about. Before clicking yes to anything, make sure that you're getting exactly what you're looking for.

Games have come a long way on the Internet. In the beginning, you were only able to play a couple of board games and a few different varieties of cards. Nowadays, you are offered just about every board game known to mankind, every card game you can think of and hundreds if not thousands of downloadable games.

Most of the games that you can download offer a free trial version. You're going to want to make sure that you download the free version before committing your money to purchasing the game. Most of these free downloads will allow you one hour of play time, which is more than enough to see if you actually like it. The general rule of thumb is if you run out of time before shutting the game off, he usually having a pretty good time playing it.

There are games that after you download the trial version, you can't wait to get it off of your computer. Then there are games like Fishdom and have you reaching for your wallet about five minutes in to your game play.

The only time you need to be connected to the Internet for these games is during actual download procedure. Once you download the game, it's yours to keep and if you choose not to, you never have to go on the Internet for anything about this game again. However, some games will offer an automatic update that will connect to the Internet every time you open up the game to play. If you don't wish this to happen, simply click out of the option and you won't have to worry about. You can always manually update the game if you find out that there has been improvement or new features added to the software.

There are also some pretty great role-playing games that you can download directly off of the Internet. Like the other games, most usually offer a trial period. However, most of these games will allow you about a week to play them before making you pay for them. These are all different style of game as you can play individually or on a team, but they are very involved and take quite a long time to finish as some of them can feature more than a hundred different levels. - 18299
